AMBER Alert issued for abducted teen

Cynthia Hernandez, 13, was reportedly taken from her home in Whittier California at around 7:45 p.m. by her paternal uncle, according to a report issued by the Governor's Office of Emergency Services at 2:45 a.m.

Juan Hernandez is reported to be armed and dangerous. He is described as a 45-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 245 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing gray slacks and a green long-sleeve dress shirt.

Cynthia is described as a Hispanic girl, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, a blue jean skirt, white tennis shoes and brown prescription glasses.

The suspect was last seen driving a black Chevrolet Silverado with the California plate 8N84118.

Anyone who spots the vehicle or suspect should call 911, or contact the Whittier Police Department at (562) 945-8249.
