UC Regents are considering a proposal to charge an extra $900 a year for undergraduates in engineering and business.
Professors in those fields apparently have much higher salaries, and the students usually find good-paying jobs once they graduate.
The extra charge would be on top of a $2,500 fee increase expected for all UC students next year.
