Masked gunman robs Fairfield Papa John's

A man in a ski mask robbed a Papa John's pizza restaurant at gunpoint in Fairfield Saturday night, according to police.

Just before 9:11 p.m., the masked gunman entered the Papa John's at 1731 N. Texas St. and pointed a handgun at the employee working the front counter, Fairfield police said. He demanded money, which the employee gave him.

The suspect fled the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No one was hurt during the incident.

Police arrived within a minute of the report and searched the area for the suspect, but officers were unable to locate him, police said.

The suspect is described as a male dressed in all black clothing, wearing a black beanie and ski mask.
