Since its founding in 1984, The Contemporary Jewish Museum has engaged audiences of all ages and backgrounds through dynamic exhibitions and thoughtful programs. An exciting variety of exhibits are currently on display:
- "There's a Mystery There…Sendak on Sendak" reflects on the story behind the stories of famous author and illustrator Maurice Sendak.
- "Jews on Vinyl" is set in a 1950's-style living room where visitors can listen to audio gems of Jewish-American music history.
- And, "The Torah Project" features a female scribe who will write the entire Torah scroll over the course of the year while the exhibition is on view. Historical objects, as well as commissioned artwork, are abundant throughout the building.
