On Friday at College Station, the Stanford women were trying to advance to the NCAA College Cup final for the first time ever.

The Cardinal took the lead over UCLA in the 64th minute.

Pac 10 player of the year Kelly O'Hara found the net, but the Bruins then tied it up. Lauren Cheney got around a defender and kicked the ball past goalie Kira Maker. Cheney is UCLA's all time leading scorer.

The game went into overtime and 4 minutes in, Stanford's Christen Press delivers the game winning score. Stanford beat UCLA 2-1.

The unbeaten Cardinal will next play either Notre Dame or North Carolina for the title on Sunday.
