Four stabbed in SF during first few hours of 2010

SAN FRANCISCO

Shortly after midnight, two groups of people were involved in a physical altercation at Pier 35, according to Officer Boaz Mariles. Police arrived to find one person had been stabbed, he said. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated. Mariles said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Three more people were stabbed shortly after 3 a.m. in "a group-on-group situation" in the 700 block of Larkin Street, according to Mariles. None of the individuals' injuries were life-threatening, he said.

No arrests have been made in either incident, Mariles said late Friday afternoon. Police are investigating, and suspect both incidents were gang-related.
