About Melialani James, co-founder of Nirvino: Meli is a co-founder at Nirvino who spearheads the company's marketing and development efforts. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, and an alumna of Punahou School, James has a natural and well-versed palate. Through Nirvino, James is able to express her professional and personal interest in the beverage industry while utilizing her education and experience in marketing, business and promotion. James received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University's venerable Hotel Administration Program. Her curriculum wine classes sparked her love of the grape, and she became hooked on all things viticulture
James' favorite wine of the moment is the 2008 Crios de Susana Balbo Mendoza Torrontes. She says, "Torrontes is a fun new white grape varietal to try from Argentina -this bottle is under $20 and available at Costco, Safeway and Whole Foods."
