Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks was established in 1982, in downtown Kailua, during the early days of windsurfing. Hawaii was exploding with the sport and Kailua quickly earned its reputation as the early windsport capital. After several years, we did the obvious thing and moved down by the beach.
Over the years Kailua has also been discovered as one of the most popular kayaking and watersports destinations in the world and our shop has been there to provide the gear and the staff the whole way through.
We now boast the largest fleet of rental kayaks in Hawaii, with tandem and single kayaks as well as faster sea kayak and surf kayak models.
After more than 25 years of service, you can still find us here, just a block from Kailua Beach Park, handing out kayaks and windsurfing gear as well as our expert advice in the warm Kailua sun.

About Eitan Waldinger:
Eitan Waldinger grew up in Tel Aviv Israel where he excelled at watersports as a kid. After three years in the Israeli Army, Eitan started to travel.
He taught sailing and windsurfing in Playa Del Carmen Mexico and is and avid surfer, stand up peddler and windsurfer. He speaks English, Hebrew, French, Spanish and Italian and has enjoyed traveling around the world, several times.
He has a degree from Hawaii Pacific University in Hospitality Management and teaches windsurfing and stand up paddling lessons.
