Bill gaining support to stop cyber-bullying

An aspiring model who says she was a victim of cyber-bullying was in Sacramento on Tuesday seeking support for a bill that would make it illegal to use the Internet to harass someone.

Autumn Albin says she was stalked online by friends of a fashion designer who appeared on TV shows like "America's Next Top Model." He was joined by attorney Gloria Allred and Senate Majority Leader Dean Florez who is backing the bill. Her stalker was convicted last year of sex crimes against several young women.

"The day I saw the page on Facebook, my heart dropped, I began to be questioned about my personal business by people I barely even knew. My privacy was invaded and I was starting to crumble," said Albin.

The measure clarifies that a protective order prohibiting contact, extends to using friends to harass a victim online.
