Overhead line problem disrupts N-Judah trains

SAN FRANCISCO

Problems with San Francisco Municipal Railway light rail service on the N-Judah line are continuing this morning, and Muni has now closed the Sunset Tunnel for repairs.

Muni had been single-tracking N-Judah trains through the tunnel but as of 7:38 a.m. began switching inbound trains back at Carl Street and Hillway Avenue, and outbound trains at Church Street and Duboce Avenue.

An overhead line problem in the Sunset Tunnel is causing the disruption, which started at about 5 a.m.

Repairs had been expected to last until 9:30 a.m., according to Muni, but no new estimate has been given.

Bus shuttles are supplementing service along the N-Judah line.
