Pet owners in San Francisco will soon have pay more for their animals.

Starting July 1st, it will cost roughly $100 in fees to adopt an animal from Animal Care and Control.

Pet owners who want the city to euthanize their cat or dog will have to pay $25.

It will also cost $20 for disposing of a dead cat or dog.

Licensing a dog is more costly, too. A one-year license now runs $50 instead of $24.
