Shots improve breathing for asthma sufferers

A new study shows allergy shots can help cut down the symptoms of asthma.

Australian researchers found that after a string of allergy shots, asthma patients said their breathing improved and their immune systems were less sensitive to some irritants.

This means patients could rely less on inhaled medications, but researchers say allergy shots cannot help all patients.

The study is reported in Newswise.com.
