Caltrain's executive director says the two proposed cuts won't happen until at least the 2011 fiscal year because of input from riders.
The proposals were among the most drastic being considered to fix the agency's multi-million dollar budget deficit.
Other cuts still under consideration include reducing weekday service at non-peak hours and the agency is also considering several proposed fare hikes.
