SEATTLE --It is not often the words "free speech" are connected to the phone book, but that is what is happening in Seattle. The city recently passed an ordinance allowing residents to opt out from getting a phone book delivered to their home.
The idea is to cut down on what ends up in the landfill.
But the Yellow Pages Association is suing, saying the regulation violates their right to free speech. It does not want to be treated any differently from other publications.
