'Magic mirror' lets shoppers virtually try on clothes

SAN FRANCISCO

At the Macy's store in midtown Manhattan, retailers are testing out what they're calling the "magic mirror." It takes your picture, and then you scroll through an online store catalogue. You move the selected image of the item around on the mirror and virtually try it on. The computer can also pick accessories for your outfit to see how they would match.

You can also e-mail a friend and show them what you've selected to get their opinion.

JC Penney also has the device in select stores across the country.
