Hundreds of parents camped out Monday morning in hopes of getting a spot for their children at a Vacaville charter school.

Some of the parents started camping outside Buckingham Charter Magnet High School on Friday night in the hopes of securing a spot for their children.

A lottery was held at 8 a.m.

There is no tuition for Buckingham school, but there are only about 100 spots available.

There are also no residency restrictions, meaning kids can come from anywhere in California.
