PETALUMA, Calif.

The crash was reported at 11:07 a.m. on Valley Ford Road just west of Fallon Road, near the U.S. Coast Guard training center.

Valley Ford Road was shut down at 11:24 a.m.

The fallen power lines started small fires in a ditch and burned the power pole, according to the CHP.

The driver of the brown Toyota Camry that struck the pole abandoned the car after the crash, CHP Officer Mark Thomas said.
