UCB professor comes close to creating robot maid

BERKELEY, Calif.

A UC Berkeley professor is coming close to creating a real-life Rosie.

Pieter Abbeel has come up with a way to program robots to perform skills like folding towels.

He hopes that one day personal robots could help elderly and disabled people with their housework.

Abbeel's work has earned him a spot on "Technology Review" magazine's list of the world's top 35 young innovators.
