PG&E crews in Richmond are on the scene of a downed electrical line that caught fire and has knocked out power to a few dozen homes.

The line fell across the bed of a pickup truck and the front lawn of a home in the 1600 block of Hellings Avenue. The power line started sparking and caught fire. Richmond police were called in to keep cars away from the scene until PG&E could kill power to the line. The downed line caused a power outage in the neighborhood. PG&E says about 36 homes are without electricity right now. No one was hurt.
