Early wet weather has Napa Valley vintners worried

The early wet weather has Napa Valley vintners worried and it had workers at the Mondovi Vineyard rushing to get grapes off the vine before the rain started.

Rainfall is an important part of the grape-growing process, but grape growers say too much too soon can damage an entire crop.

It's too early to tell how a few days of light rain this early in the season will affect taste, but they are getting as much fruit off the vine as possible because soggy, wet grapes can mean a diluted vintage.
