Six people were arrested for allegedly spraying graffiti on six billboards near a stretch of U.S. Highway 101 in Redwood City on Wednesday, California Highway Patrol officials said.

CHP officers from the Redwood City area saw four people tagging billboards near the eastside of Highway 101 between Whipple Avenue and Holly Street around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, CHP officials said.

Officers surrounded the suspected four taggers, who ran and hid into the nearby brush. They were arrested minutes later and two juveniles were also found in a getaway vehicle at the north end of a bicycle path that runs along the highway, CHP officials said.
