SF Firefighters kick off annual toy drive

SAN FRANCISCO

Volunteers are helping off-duty and retired firefighters at Santa's Workshop just off Bayshore. They wrap toys and hand them out to families with children up to 12 years old.

Last year, firefighters distributed 300,000 toys to more than 40,000 children.

This year they expect a big increase in demand because of the economy and they are looking for donations. You can help by dropping off a toy at any of the city's 51 fire stations.
