Palo Alto calls on state to abandon high speed rail

PALO ALTO, Calif.

The San Jose Mercury News reports: a statement adopted last night identifies a long list of discrepancies between the current project and the one approved by voters three years ago. It says Palo Alto believes the voters were not given accurate information during the 2008 election so they could not make an informed decision.

City leaders believe high speed rail's business plan is fatally flawed and is not credible.
