California could be political king maker in stalemate

A key player in the Arnold Schwarzenegger administration says the Republican stalemate may put California in the position of being a political king maker.

Former Schwarzenegger press secretary Aaron McLear says if no clear frontrunner emerges from the pack, California voters could end up crowning a presidential candidate at the June primary.

California moved its presidential primary election from February to June last summer, to save money, by combining the primary with voting on ballot measures.
