Home in Novato shot at several times Wed. night

NOVATO, Calif.

According to police, somebody shot at the house at least 10 times. The homeowner believes the house was shot at as many as 14 times.

The bullet holes have shattered the blissful life Sharon Bliss and her husband shared in the home on Robinhood Drive for 12 years. Right now they have a female student staying with them. She and Sharon were home alone last night around six when gunfire erupted right through the front window.

"I got up and I looked, but I was still in the family room and by the time I stepped in closer to the hall, it was just pop, pop, pop, pop," said Sharon Bliss.

Novato police are measuring and investigating as they work to find a motive.

"It does appear that this house was specifically targeted. The reason is still under investigation," said Novato Police Department Sgt. Jennifer Welch.

Right now the Bliss family is staying here, but Sharon admits she's a little uneasy.

"There's no reason -- we have a very quiet life, we work, we go to church we come home. If we had been standing in there, it would have hit use right in the head," said Bliss.

Police do not have any suspect in the case. If you have any information please contact the Novato Police Department.
