Average air fare to Europe up three percent

It could be tougher to book a flight to Europe this summer and its going to cost you more too.

Bloomberg News reports the average fare to Europe is up three percent. To keep demand high, airlines are cutting back on the number of seats they're selling. The strategy allows the airlines to maintain pricing power and it seems to be working.

Despite the higher prices, ticket sales for trans-Atlantic flights are up 5.9 percent.
