James' primary interest in small business advocacy is in economic development and the legislative process. James chairs the California Hispanic Chamber Leg Committee and promotes the interests of small business in his capacities as: Chair of Public Policy for the Hispanic Chamber Silicon Valley, Chair of the Northern Region of California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and as Board member for the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber and the CSBA, California Small Business Association.
James has a BA in Political Science and Economics from UC Berkeley. He was the President at the Human Resources Consultants Association of Silicon Valley and is currently the Chair of the California Hispanic Chamber Board.
He is also active in or serves as a Board Member with various professional and Community Associations.
James lives in Morgan Hill, California, a rural Silicon Valley suburb, with his family.
