Monterey County health officials discourage swimming at any county beaches where storm drains empty into the ocean. They say recent rains and runoff are sending potentially dangerous levels of bacteria, viruses and chemicals into the ocean.
Swimmers could become ill as a result.
The advisory will remain in effect for three days following the end of the rains.
