Puppy scares off armed home invaders in Florida

FLORIDA

"I started yelling," 62-year-old Barbara Boos said. "He was pulling my hair so hard."

Two armed men stormed through Boos' front door, pulled her by the hair and threw her to the floor."

"He said, 'I'm goona kill ya if you don't tell me,'" she said. "'Give me your money. Where's your money?'"

Boos says before her husband could get off the couch, 8-month-old Petey came to the rescue, running like lightening from the other side of the house.

"And he was jumping up and down on that guy's face," she said. "I don't know if he was trying to bite his face or whatever."

Petey then went for the other crook's ankles. And just like that, the two gunman ran away.

Police say they're still on the loose.

"I can't believe they were even scared of him," Boos said.

She says Petey is very loving and she never expected that her normally-sweet and friendly dog would save her life. She hopes police catch the suspect before they attack again.

"Because they do it here, they've done it before and they'll do it again, I imagine," she said.

Boos says she didn't get a good look at the faces of the men responsible for the home invasion. Police continue to investigate.
