SF museum offers free admission for MLK day

SAN FRANCISCO

The museum, located at 685 Mission St., is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and highlights the history of Africans who were dispersed throughout the world.

Today's features will include films on King, an African drumming ensemble and art projects for children.

The free day, sponsored by ScholarShare College Savings Plan, has been offered annually on Martin Luther King Jr. Day since the museum opened in 2005, museum spokesman Michael DeFlorimonte said.
