A police standoff in Oakland has ended. The SWAT team fired flash bang grenades into the apartment where they believed a shooting suspect was hiding. They stormed the building at the 6400 block of Shattuck, but there was nobody inside.

Officials say they first received reports of shots fired at Broadway and McArthur around 12:30 p.m. Friday. One man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses were able to give police descriptions of the vehicle and suspects, which led them to the building at 64th and Shattuck. The standoff, which lasted for several hours, forced the closure of several blocks.

Police said one man has been detained, and that a woman who was not involved was detained and released.

Their search for another shooting suspect continues.
