The San Jose City Council will tackle the city's growing homeless problem Tuesday night.

Last Friday, 100 people were moved out of a tent city on Spring Street near the Guadalupe River.

ABC7 News media partner, The San Jose Mercury News, reports that city leaders are offering sweeping proposals.

They plan to look at more affordable housing, increased enforcement, and encouraging faith-based groups to stop feeding the homeless and find housing instead.
