Study: Fans of losing football teams eat less healthy

The journal Psychological Science found that fans that support the losing team tend to eat more saturated fats and sugars while fans of the winning team tend to eat healthier foods.

And, it gets worse. The day after the game, the losing fans eat about 16 percent more they normally do.

Researchers think that when a team wins, it boosts fans self-control. When they lose, people are more likely to eat because they feel their identity is threatened.
