A 75-year-old New York woman ended up with a fortune, after she followed the advice on a fortune cookie.

Emma Duvoll had just eaten at a Chinese restaurant in Greenwich Village and she got the customary fortune cookie with her bill.

She opened it up and on an impulse, decided to play the numbers on the back of her fortune on the next Powerball lottery. She almost hit the jackpot.

Duvoll got five of the six numbers in the Feb. 1 drawing. That was enough for a small fortune of $2 million.
