More than 5,000 fans of the popular Wheel of Fortune game show came out to Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park this weekend in the hopes of becoming a contestant.

Organizers of the two-day Wheelmobile event auditioned the Wheel wannabes, testing the strength of their spin, their vowel buying power, and ability to solve word puzzles.

"I grew up watching Wheel of Fortune with my grandma when I was just a little girl and it's always been something I wanted to do," Sonoma resident Michele Gochberg said. "I just love solving word puzzles and thinking and I just want to be out there and be a part of it."

Gochberg is an elementary school principal from Petaluma. She won her mock round of the game.

Watch Wheel of Fortune weeknights at 7:30 p.m. on ABC7.
