LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KGO) -- George Clooney will have another award to add to his collection, but he'll have to wait to accept it.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association says the 53-year-old actor and activist will receive the Cecil B. Demille award at next year's Golden Globes.

The annual award is presented to someone who has made an incredible impact on the world of entertainment.

The Association says Clooney's work as an actor and director, along with his humanitarian work, make him a deserving recipient.
