3.9 Earthquake strikes 7 miles southwest of Hollister

A magnitude 3.9 earthquake took place this evening Monterey County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was reported at 6:16 p.m., with an epicenter located 7 miles west-southwest of Hollister and 11 miles northeast of Salinas.
