San Francisco Muni sexual battery suspect arrested

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco police say they've arrested the man accused of groping women on Muni.

Police say the 45-year-old suspect is being charged with multiple misdemeanors including sexual battery, sexual battery on public transportation, continuing offense of public nuisance and one felony account of false imprisonment.

One woman posted about her experience on social media and several other women then came forward.

She says he rubbed against her last Thursday on the N-Judah line.

Police say due to pending identification the suspect's name and photo are not being released at this time.

The San Francisco Police Special Victims Unit is asking anyone with information related to this case to call the SFPD Anonymous Tip Line at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.
