NEW YORK -- During a historic visit to the United States, Pope Francis delivered mass before 18,000 people at New York's Madison Square Garden.

There was a standing ovation for a pope, that some say, is like no other. Pope Francis wrapped up his visit in the Big Apple by celebrating mass. He had a friendly reminder for the faithful, large crowd to simply, "Don't forget to pray for me."

His jam-packed day began with a landmark address before the General Assembly at the United Nations.

His next stop was a multi-religious service at the 9/11 memorial, where the pope took the time to pray and place flowers on the plaques for the victims, while offering blessings for their families.
