The new policy gives remote workers a choice to either move to San Francisco or face termination.
The company says it will give employees a 3-month severance if they decline the offer.
The news comes on the heels of a $50 million investment in the company by tech industry entrepreneurs.
Reddit's CEO says the intention is to get the whole team under one roof for optimal teamwork.
