7 On Your Side helps woman too sick to use plane tickets

7 On Your Side's Michael Finney helped a San Mateo woman out of a jam after she paid for plane tickets that she was too sick to use.

SAN MATEO, Calif. (KGO) -- What happens when you're all excited about an upcoming trip and suddenly you're too sick to go? That's what happened to a San Mateo woman who thought she was going to be out of all of the money she spent on the flight.

Maria Marticorena was going to miss her friend's wedding in Spain because she was horribly ill and thought she was still going to have to pay over $1,000 for a trip she couldn't take anymore. But, that all changed when 7 On Your Side's Michael Finney stepped in. Watch the video player to find out how he helped her out of this jam.
