7 on Your Side shares consumer news for November 20, 2017.

Sleep Number recalls foot warmers

Sleep Number is recalling foot warmers sold with Sleep Number 360 smart beds. The foot warmers can overheat and burn consumers. The company has received 6 reports of overheating, including one minor burn injury.

The company is contacting customers for a free replacement and installation appointment. In the meantime, customers should immediately stop using and disable the foot warmer.

About 11,900 of the Sleep Number 360 smart beds with foot warmers were sold from April 2017 to August 2017.

Honda recalls 800,000 Odyssey minivans

Honda is recalling hundreds of thousands of 2011-2017 Odyssey Minivans, because of problems with their removable seats.

The vehicle's second-row seats can be adjusted side-to-side or taken out altogether.

Honda says the seats can tip forward when the driver brakes, if they're not properly latched after being adjusted or re-installed. 46 people had minor injuries because of the issue.

The recall includes about 800,000 Odysseys.

The company is now working to educate owners how to properly latch the seats, until it comes up with a repair plan.

31% of Americans have experienced package theft

The online shopping holiday rush is here, and delivery services are gearing up for a busy season. With that comes the inevitable uptick in stolen packages.

A recent study by Shorr Packaging Corp. found 31% of Americans say they have personally dealt with package theft. The study also found many people avoid buying valuable items online, or change plans to be home when the package arrives, worried it may be stolen during shipment.

And more than a third of people have opted to send their package somewhere else other than their home, to prevent package theft.
