Police say 22-year old Jose Guzman walked into the restaurant, armed with a knife and stabbed the victim in the back office.
He then took money out of the cash registers and made a run for it.
But for some odd reason, that suspect came back and was later arrested.
"We really don't have a clue as to why this guy returned," said Rick Martinez of the Anaheim Police Department. "We're just fortunate the guy returned but why he returned to the scene of the crime is kind of a mystery to us so right now we're grateful that he returned but as this point we really don't understand why."
Guzman now faces robbery and attempted murder charges.
