Preliminary information indicates the chase began at Hegenberger Road in Oakland and ended in the 2100 block of Davis Street in San Leandro, where the suspect was shot by an officer, police said. The Oakland Police Department was notified of the shooting shortly before 11 p.m.
The suspect's condition was not immediately available.
