The blaze, first reported at 12:10 p.m., started near Bullhead Reservoir, which is approximately 12 to 14 miles north of state Highway 152 near County Line Road, fire prevention specialist Chris Morgan said.
The fire burned about 75 acres and was contained late Wednesday night. Crews remained at the burn site throughout the night to check for hot spots and flare-ups, according to Cal Fire.
The cause has not been determined.
