The robbery of a business in the 4000 block of Piedmont Avenue was reported around 1:40 a.m., police said.
No suspects were arrested, and no additional information regarding the robbery was immediately available.
A recent string of takeover-style robberies at Oakland restaurants was reported last week, according to police. The first robbery in the series was reported the night of July 26, two additional robberies occurred July 27, and a takeover robbery of a Mexican restaurant occurred July 28, police said.
Police would not confirm if the business robbed this morning was a restaurant.
