The decision to implement restrictions is based on weather and vegetation conditions, park spokeswoman Jennifer Chapman said.
While the restrictions are in place, wood and charcoal fires are banned, fire permits are considered null and void, Mount Vision Overlook Road will be closed to vehicle traffic, and smoking is prohibited on park trails and backcountry areas.
Also, park employees cannot use equipment such as chainsaws, lawnmowers, weed eaters or other potential ignition sources outside of the developed areas in the park.
