The repairs have continued a full week after an underground vault fire erupted at a San Francisco intersection. The work is expected to continue at least through the weekend.
The fire at O'Farrell and Polk Street temporarily knocked out power to 8,600 customers, and closed several blocks.
On Friday evening, Polk Street remained closed from O'Farrell to Ellis. PG&E doesn't expect to have a cause of the fire for another two to three weeks.
