According to police, Bernardo Dominguez had been on a two-day methamphetamine and alcohol binge when he allegedly held his wife against her will in the 100 block of West Ninth Street and beat her with the pool cue and his fists.
He also allegedly threatened to shoot her with a sawed-off shotgun, which he pointed at her head, causing her to fear for her life and her child's life, police said.
When the victim was finally able to escape, she called police and they arrested Dominguez. He was booked into county jail on suspicion of domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, threatening with the intent to terrorize and false imprisonment, police said.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for multiple injuries.
