The fire was reported at around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday in open space near the Boundary Oak Golf Course, the dispatcher said. The fire was declared contained at around 2:10 a.m., and firefighters were still in the area this morning mopping up and working to bring it fully under control.
The number of acres burned has not yet been officially determined, the dispatcher said.
No injuries have been reported in connection to the fire.
Contra Costa County firefighters continue to receive assistance from Cal Fire.
